I am going today. They close at 6. They are on N. Lamar. Is anyone else interested? I read about this yesterday somewhere and the article made sure to insert several A.D. jokes and references, but never once told the readers as to where you could get a ‘Gob’ special. I’m glad to see that they’re not on SoCo.  I tend to avoid most of that area like the plague save for a handful of specialty stores and shops.

Cheap Trick is on tour this fall with Def Leppard and Poison?  Two things: Where the hell was I when this was annoucned? Where the hell is my wallet?? I already bought tickets for the Judas Priest/Whitesnake tour, the Journey/Night Ranger tour, and have set aside money for the KISS/Buckcherry tour…this year is awesome! Oh, and I also bought tickets for some unknown band named Spoon as well.

Cheap Trick - Give It Away

Taken from their 2006 album, Rockford.  It’s an outstanding power pop-rock album from Robin Zander and the boys with shades of The Beatles and Slade mixed in.  Very fun record to listen to that could have easily fit in with their seventies catalogue.

Mind blown again! If you take in account that Super Mario Bros. 2 all takes place in Mario’s dream, it would seem that there was only one Mario game for the NES that actually occurred (although you start THAT game out by chomping down on a mushroom).  Super Mario Bros. 3 is indeed a play which make sense once you think about all the different theatrical suits Mario dons and the closed curtain ending. The creators of the box art for Contra ended up stealing Ahnald’s and Stallone’s likeness along with the alien from…um…Alien.  This makes me want a movie where both of the action stars are shooting the shit out of alien invaders for at least three hours.
