Two Different Takes on the Above Photo Which Deserved Some Attention

Wow. I was completely unaware that this demographic existed!

There are two major groups that are obsessed (which I have to differentiate with just liking) with this piece of Obese Mormon Literature:

1. The 12-15 year old girls who have no understanding of what sex and relationships REALLY are and find this prospect of abstinence-bound relationships, the “true love at first sight” concept and the idealism of the perfect man willing to wait an essential eternity for “The One”, and thus will come to expect that the relationship found in the movies/books to be a real possibility that they will in fact encounter, thus ruining their expectations by creating an unrealistic ideal. So we’ll have an entire generation of cat-ladies, depressed housewives, and good old fashioned hermit women.

2. The 35+ group of sexually-frustrated cougars who picked up the books/watched the movies to see what all the kids were raving about, and realized that it was written by a chick who had not gotten laid in a LONG time, and noticed all the sexual undertones the teeny boppers had missed, and fell in love with the fantasy of a handsome young man sweeping them away. Add to that the fact that it’s some hunky ripped dude on the movie screen to get them all hot and bothered, and you can see why they’d be interested.

Oh, and you have people like that unbelievably fat chick who uploaded her reaction to the twilight trailer to youtube where she almost fucking had a heart attack and a mental breakdown, but they’re goths and fatties so they’re not real people. :V

I’m not too sure what I can say about this actually. I mean, the Twilight fanatics managed to help New Moon secure the third highest opening weekend of all time right behind Spider-Man 3 and The Dark Knight. Whether that is respectable or frightening, it’s up to you. I’ll go with the former as I cannot poke fun at something making buckos of dollars off of people.

Also, I like to let everyone know that my novel about a high school cheerleader falling in love with an edgy, twenty-something Swamp Thing will be on the market very soon. I’m sure that Zac Efron would love nothing more than to ~~make me millions~~ portray such an iconic character on the big screen.

My wife and 11yo daughter saw “New Moon” this weekend. My wife said she expected the tween/teen girls screaming every time the werewolf tore off his shirt. What was more disturbing were the cougars screaming even louder. He’s like 17 years old people. EWWWW!

I know it’s been a while, but there’s just been too many things going on. Two weeks ago, I was out of town picking up a new vehicle. Last week, I was at the Clay Pit with Natasha and Hurricane-K. This week, my roommates are out because Miguel’s sister just had a child, and they’re all gushing over that.

Empty house = no dinner. Look for it tomorrow as I already had groceries and everything set to cook.

I mean, look at that costume! That’s the 1997 Gene Simmons costume that were sold at the white-trash capital of the local mall, Spencers. My two Paul Stanley costumes were put together by hand and rival the real deal in the amount of detail and rhinestones!

There’s nothing like waking up and watching The Thing. Not only is it one of the greatest horror films out there, but the special effects are amazing. In the age of overdone CGI, it’s amazing what these film wizards were able to come up with.

Way back in July at my first meetup, I promised something to the Austin Tumblrs that I’ve neglected up to this point. Right now, I’m just posting a feeler to gauge interest and to see what the general feelings are about this.

The current plan is to hold this event at onemorefortheroad’s house on Saturday December 12th. The only questions I ask are:

I did that several times over the last couple of days, but always refrained from actually posting. I actually like typing all the craziness and emotions out, coming back to them later on in the week, and just deleting them from existence after rereading. It helps me figure out either the next step to take with an issue or helps me with my own neurosis.
