Never got into Frank Quitely, but I’m guessing that’s because I first saw his art through The New X-Men. I’ve always taken Jim Lee’s work as Classic X-Men, so seeing Quitely’s unique take on established characters just seems weird to me.
Plus, the coloring makes the above panel look like it was ripped from a Perry Bible Fellowship comic.
